Secure Shell (SSH) access to Pinnacle from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville campus network and the local broadband providers in Fayetteville (Ozarks Go and Cox Internet) is not restricted. If you are trying to log in over SSH from outside of these networks you must take an additional step to register your source IP address and add it to the list of IPs allowed to access the SSH server on Pinnacle.

1. log into the web portal at:

https://hpc-portal1.hpc.uark.edu

1. In the top menu go to Clusters→SSH IP registration

After 60 seconds your IP address will be added to the list of IPs allowed to access SSH. Your IP will remain on the list for the following 24 hours. It will be removed after that period. SSH access is only possible while your IP address is on the registered IPs list.
