2FA SSH Access
Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is an additional layer of security that can be configured automatically for Secure Shell (SSH) access for your account on Pinnacle. To enable it
- log into the web portal at: https://hpc-portal1.hpc.uark.edu
- In the top menu go to Clusters→2FA Status
You can change the status of 2FA requirement for SSH for your account by pressing the Enable 2FA and Disable 2FA buttons.
Use an authenticator app of your choice (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authenticator) to scan the QR code to register your Pinnacle account with the app on your personal device. During the SSH login you will be presented with an additional prompt to enter the current code displayed in the authenticator app. The codes change every 30 seconds.
ssh -i pinnacle.key ffinffin@hpc-portal1.hpc.uark.edu (ffinffin@hpc-portal1.hpc.uark.edu) Verification code:
